It is not right….
I am not homosexual, I am a heterosexual person. I don’t think that just being gay or straight you don’t have to watch porn or not to watch porn.
In-fact being a straight I watch porn a lot. So just by watching porn or not you can never judge a person whether he is straight or gay.

That’s bloody ridiculous. I don’t get where you’re getting such an idiotic point of view from. I am a gay teen, and believe me, with our current society, I would do anything to be a genuine heterosexual. With people constantly putting us down and constantly having to hide ourselves, do you honestly think we want such a terrible lifestyle? It’s not a choice at all. I grew up just like my siblings, cousins and friends did, yet we turned out differently.

Just think about this for a second: If sexual orientation is all just a matter of choice, then how come you can’t just magically turn yourself gay?

Well… I must first admit im christian based as far as my beliefs of weather or not “homosexuality” is genetically based. However, my major in college is psychology/ human services ( which i have only just begun.. one year in). I don’t exactly believe that being “gay” is formed as soon as you’re born. I mean research from scientists are attempting more and more to prove this to be true, yet.. what will they say about it 100 years from now? Usually science pins something as a fact, yet years later they find that they were wrong.. and it wasnt what it was seemed to be. I believe that the result of being gay, or becoming gay, at whatever age, is brought on strictly through lifestyle and the growing up process. Just as much as beliefs and morals. Usually you become how you were raised, or you rebel against that same thing. Now this is strictly my opinion, nothing is based on any facts. But then again.. facts are only theories that someone portrayed as true, and someone else hasn’t fought against to prove otherwise.

I like the fact that true srilankan talks about homosexuality.

Lots of countries like India, Srilanka, lots of men have sex with men because they need to keep their virginity for their marriage. But they do not call themselves as gay. “fooling around” We need to talk about it. There are many gays and lesbians are giving their life – just simply because they are gay.

I am not here to talk about – whether it is a choice or not. Who cares? Why do we have to define everything?

God? Look at the world around you… So many wars.. so many blood river.. for RELIGION… I strongly believe that if there are no religion in this world, our world would be much better place to live.

I am hetero and I am happy with my sexual orientation. I did not choose. It was natural for me to make love to a women. At the same time, my younger brother is gay. He is a great brother and I love him dearly. My parents did not beat him. He got all the love and care in the world and HE ALWAYS WILL.

I am married and have 2 kids. My kids love their gay uncle. The real truth is he is our brother, son, uncle and we do not try to define. We do not try to put a label – “normal” and “ab-normal”. Who am I to define him? Am I normal? Simply because I am making love to a women and he is not?

My parents have always told us – “Live and let live”. Let others to live their own life. Do not make rules and regulations.

Gay, Straight, Bi – all just a title.

Do not try to define everything in life. Certain thing can not be defined. Like God.!

We need to talk about;

In Afghanistan, these poor girls have no rights.
In Africa, many people are dying each and every minute without drinking water.
In India, so many people still living in the slum
Most countries, women are abused my men.
In India – women are burned to live – simply because they were not able to give a birth to a “boy”…

We need to make this world better and prosperous. I am sorry for my english, my mother tongue is french.

We need to love everyone… Who are we to define others…?

I think this article is repulsing. You say it’s a choice… Please fill me in on why anyone would “choose” to be gay? In our world that only brings hardships. I think we can all agree if once we were mature enough to understand, someone asked us. Do you want to be gay or straight? We would all choose straight. I have absolutely nothing against gay people, and i’m not trying to make this sound mean, but if you say its a choice, why would anyone choose that lifestyle? It is not a choice. people aren’t gay because they were beaten. Some may be gay and have been beaten yes, but i do not believe there is a connection. In addition, there were people who were beaten and grew up to be amazing successful people. How can you verify that? I think this article is pretty ridiculous and anyone who agrees with what it’s saying is extremely naive.

I too am a Buddhist but heterosexual, and just want to mention that Buddhism is one of the few religious systems that does not condemn homosexuality, prohibit it, or call for homosexuals to be stoned to death (like in the Bible). It’s the Christians who came into the country and criminalised it.

There is no “God” and this “God” has no right to tell people what they can and cannot do, or to tell others to kill and hate on homosexuals.

Christian extremists like “true Sri Lankan” who put the first post up only bring a bad name to Christianity.

Dear True Sri Lankan,

I’m homosexual but also another true Sri Lankan.

You say …“Homosexuality is a behavior and a habit like smoking, boozing, drug addiction, etc.”

Well being a Sri Lankan and living in a culture where homosexuality is frowned upon I haven’t engaged in any acts of homosexuality and thus no visible behaviors that you could point out ! So I do not think you can classify homosexuality as a behavior.

Futher more though I know I’m a homosexual , it is only one part of who I am and does not define me fully. Unlike the ‘gay’ stereotype people have come to believe in, I’m a quite a spiritual person and would like to achieve something beyond this life time.

I’m a believer that both nature and nurture has a part to play in ones sexual orientation.

As far as God comes to play, being a Buddhist by philosophy I do not believe in God…and do not see why you choose to judge me by your religious views.

You called me UNNATURAL
You called me UNGODLY
You called me ABUSED
You called me MENTALLY IMBALANCED
You called me similar to DRUGADICT/SOMOKER/DRINKER

How every I’m no none of these!

Then you go on to say..
“My aim is not to spread hatred towards homosexuals but to bring to light the misconceptions surrounding the condition of these people. I dislike people who incite hatred towards homosexuals or pass remarks at them, rather they need all our compassion and help to bring them out of this situation so that they can lead normal lives”

Either you are a hypocrite or a mislead heart trying but failing to see the truth.

I hope you find peace within yourself to be able to accept those around you for who they are and not what you want them to be.
